What to do when you buy a used car

Here are some helpful tips for when you get your new used car home. The main concern has to be the condition of your used car. If you buy from a dealer most times these dealers will recondition a car. Don’t think that this always holds true.

Rarely will a car have a full accurate service record. If it does then you’re in luck. You can be reassured and just continue on with this service.  If you’re like me when you buy a used car you won’t have a good service record to work with so you will have to investigate your used car yourself.

Having recently purchased a used truck I can tell you my experience as well. Check your oil by pulling the dipstick. If the oil is black or low then you know that the car wasn’t maintained properly. One bad service probably means there are others so you should go down the full list of preventive maintenance items on your used car.
